Puttstix and the Community

Through Puttstix Mini Golf we have aimed to create a fun, attractive and affordable facility. We also look to support the community in a variety of ways, two particular initiatives undertaken are:

Pre-School and Primary School Fundraising Support

Offered to all pre-schools and primary schools on the North Shore, these consist of a  free Family Pass (2 adults and 2 children) with a value of $30.00. These can be used in raffles, spot prizes or any use at the discresion of the school. The reason for offering a Family Pass is the "feel-good" factor of winning something for the family.  Mini Golf is a wonderful way for family members to interact. This is especially important when so much time can these days be spent in front of television, or a computer screen.

The Puttstix Community Fundraising Scheme

This provides for six set aside days each year; the takings of those days will be donated to the relevent group / organisation / individual who we are supporting.

Any person or group can apply, although we do tend to focus on children, youths and those with limited earning capacity. Typical, but not necessarily extensive examples of potential recipients include:

  • An individual, group or team representing the North Shore or New Zealand requireing funds to compete, travel, etc.
  • A North Shore non-profit making organisation which is fund-raising for improved facilities.
  • An individual of group who are in need of special medical treatment which is not readily available through the public health system
  • We are pleased to consider any worthwile cause which we will judge on its merits.

We spread the fundraising days over the year and accept applications at any time. Successful applicants are advised in writing and invited to contact us to discuss a suitable date.

The success of the fund-raising day is largely dependent on the energy, enthusiasm and initiative of the organising group. We will endeavour to assist as much as possible in making the event successful.
This will include:

  • Scheduling a meeting with the organisiers and providing guidance on running and promoting the event.
  • Supplying tickets for the day.
  • Having a member of staff available throughout the day.
  • Placing a poster in our office promoting the fund-raising day.

The organisers will be responsible for:

  • Selling tickets for the day.
  • Promoting the event using posters etc.

We stongly suggest that as many tickets as possible are pre-sold to make the event successful, however all takings for the day, including casual visitors and those not necessarily associated with the fund-raising event, will be included in the fund-raising total for the day.
